The TORQline equipped Dunlop Ferrari 550 has won its LMGT-1 class of the Japanese Le Mans challenge. CTG supplies the team with a TORQline GT advanced composite propshaft specifically developed for the 550. The three race series was being dominated by the team until technical problems with a hub bolt in the last race saw them finish 3rd in class and 7th overall. With 1st place in the first two races the team still managed to finish 1st in the LMGT-1 class championship.
One of the drivers, Tatsuya Kataoka said, "My aim is just be the series champion since I decided to enter this series. We could drive with best performance in 1st and 2nd round and got 1st position of all class, so we targeted to run completely in this round. I would say we expected some troubles. But sliding out from the course was beyond my expectation." Eiichi Tajima, another of the drivers said, “…becoming LMGT-1 class champion is simply very happy.”
CTG congratulates the team on their achievements and wishes them the best of luck for the 2007 season.
