TORQline equipped Sumopower Skyline performs well
Friday 17th November 2006
The TORQline equipped Sumopower Nissan Skyline R33 GTR had it’s first ever run last week, it took place at the UK’s FIA drag strip Santa Pod Raceway. After some initial system tests and with Andy Barnes behind the wheel the car recorded a time of 9.23 seconds @149mph. CTG supplies the team with an advanced composite TORQline propshaft specially developed to with-stand the high torque loads put on it.
All of the runs were done only using 1.7 bar of boost and 700bhp giving the propshaft a good first test. The run was very encouraging considering very few technical adjustments were made to the car, and because of the weather conditions they will be unable to run until February, the start of the 2007 season.
CTG wishes Sumopower the best of luck for the 2007 season.
