TORQline™ customers had a wonderful TOTB VI at Elvington Aerodrome near York on Sunday. Many of the top competitors in the 4WD category were running using TORQline™ advanced composite propshafts. The overall winner of the whole event was Olly Clark from Roger Clark Motorsport in his Subaru Impreza which is fitted with a TORQline™ propshaft. The event consists of three different disciplines, the handling circuit where drivers were timed around a set course, the ¼ mile drag race and the top speed.
Olly came 1st in the handling overall, 2nd in the ¼ mile with a 9.59 at 148mph and 5th overall in the top speed recording a respectable 194.1mph in one mile. Congratulations to Olly and everyone at Roger Clark Motorsport.
The winner of the 4WD ¼ mile was Andy Forrest with a 9.27 at 156mph, Andy also recently fitted a TORQline™ advanced composite propshaft to his Impreza.
There was also a clash of the titans with a match up between Keith Cowie’s RB Motorsport R32 Skyline and Tim Webster in the Duke R33 Skyline. The Duke won on the day with an 8.74 at 156mph to become the pro-drag shootout winner. Both Keith and Tim also run with TORQline™ advanced composite propshafts on their Skylines. Congratulations to Tim and everyone at GTC.
Keith Cowie was not to be out-done with the day’s achievements with an attempt at the 0-300kph record which he broke with a 12.474 second run. Congratulations to Keith and everyone at RB Motorsport for their fantastic achievement.
Well done to every TORQline™ customer for their achievements.
