CTG invests in new manufacturing facility
Monday 12th May 2003
CTG has announced substantial investment in new machinery at its 25000 sq. ft. development and manufacturing facility. The company has spent £250,000 on a new filament-winding facility that will enable volume production of advanced composite components for use in high performance automotive and industrial applications.
CTG’s Business Development Director, Mike Dewhirst, said: “Many of the products and skills we have developed for the motorsport market are directly transferable to the performance automotive market. This investment is necessary to help us to enter this growing, exciting area of the automotive industry, as well as expanding our product capabilities in 'industrial' markets. The new facility will help us to produce our TORQline™ composite driveline products for automotive and industrial applications to the same exacting standards as for motorsport, but with the necessary increase in production capacity and the cost benefits of large volume production.”
