CTG Soapbox finishes 8th at Goodwood

Tuesday 15th July 2003

On July 11, 12 and 13, CTG once again entered the Dunhill Soapbox Challenge at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Aside from a new livery, tyres and small modifications to the aerodynamics, the car was unchanged from the 2002 event.

The 2003 event lived up to its promise of more exciting action as closely-matched soapboxes raced side-by-side down the Goodwood hill at speeds of up to 60mph.

The technological advancements in soapbox design and manufacture that were first apparent at the 2002 event had been continued for this year by many teams, so the CTG team were pleased to finish 8th overall with a one year old car.

It is hoped that a new car will be ready for the 2004 event.
