1150 bhp Skyline proves TORQline propshaft strength
Friday 11th August 2006
The 1150bhp, TORQline-equipped Skyline R32 GTR driven by Keith Cowie achieved a staggering top speed of 213mph over ¾ mile from a standing start at a practice day for the recent TOTB 5, held at Elvington Aerodrome. The ferocious acceleration of Keith’s car proves the incredible strength and performance of TORQline advanced composite propshafts even under extreme conditions like these.
Although Keith, the TOTB 4 overall champion, had water pump problems which prevented him from defending his title, he was at least able to put the TORQline propshaft through its paces.
Keith has also been testing his car at Millbrook proving ground recently, performing drag starts at 8000 rpm with 1.3 bar boost, and has been highly impressed with the strength of his TORQline propshaft under these extreme loads.
