CTG launches composite propshaft for RX-7
Thursday 10th August 2006
Advanced composite motorsport product specialist CTG has added a carbon fibre Mazda RX-7 propshaft to its TORQline aftermarket range. The Banbury-based company has developed the TORQline CS composite propshaft as a direct replacement for the Mazda RX-7 FD standard shaft.
The composite propshaft offers a weight saving of 2.15kg which is 35% less than the standard propshaft. Offering reduced inertia which results in less rotating mass, the composite RX-7 propshaft improves response during acceleration and braking. As well as offering exceptionally high performance, the TORQline propshaft offers extreme strength with a torque rating of 3000Nm. The composite propshaft has been specifically designed to absorb any torque spikes which in turn helps to protect other components in the driveline.
